DESCRIPTION
TILEMASTIC is a premium, white premixed, water resistant, flexible wall tile adhesive with excellent non-slip
properties and bond strength.
USES
Fixing all types of ceramic wall tiles to clean and firm walls of plaster, gyprock, cement sheeting and cement
render in kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. TILEMASTIC is especially designed for large tiles (300mm sq./1.5
kg) and tiling from the top (eliminating the need for straight edges).
Do not use between two non porous surfaces as the adhesive will not set. Not suitable
for immersed applications, Construction Chemicals provide other systems.
PERFORMANCE DATA
Exceeds the performance requirements of AS4992.
SPECIFICATION
The ceramic tile adhesive shall be a premixed flexible acrylic adhesive that exceeds the requirements of
AS4992 and has a minimum shear bond strength of 3.44 MPA such as TILEMASTIC manufactured by
Construction Chemicals and shall be applied in accordance with the manufacturers application instruction.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces must be structurally sound, free from dirt, dust, grease and other contaminants. Cement render must
be 7 days old. Building boards must be firmly fixed at 450mm centres to restrain movement with rough side
out where possible. Remove any paint and prime highly absorbent surfaces (ie. cement sheeting) with PRIMER
& GROUT ADDITIVE and allow to dry before application of adhesive.
APPLICATION
Apply the TILEMASTIC with a 6mm x 6mm notched trowel. Spread only 1m2 at a time as the adhesive dries
rapidly. Immediately press dry tiles into the ribs of the adhesive ensuring that all of the tile is in contact with
the adhesive before it dries. Remove any excess adhesive from the surface of the tile before it dries using a
damp cloth.The adhesive bed should be not less than 1.6mm or greater than 3 mm thick.

GROUTING
Allow 24 hours before commencing, longer in cold damp conditions or when using dense tiles.
Use PRIMER & GROUT ADDITIVE or FLEXIBLE GROUT ADDITIVE with KEMGROUT.
