Pilkington's Pro Set Adhesive-cementitious wall and floor adhesive-Data Sheet.

Pro Set is a cementitious wall and floor adhesive, formulated for extended workability, ideal for both interior and exterior applications where speed of set is not essential. Pro set adheres to most common surface materials.

Constitution .     Cementitious Powder
Appearance.     Powder – Grey / White
Mix Ratio .    Pro Set should be added slowly to approximately 5 litres of water and should be mixed thoroughly to give a slump free easily worked adhesive. The mix proportions by volume are approximately 4 parts Pro Set to 1 part water. A 20kg bag of powder requires approximately 5 litres of water (white) and 4.4 litres of water (grey)
Application Temperature    20°C
Open Time    Once the adhesive is mixed, it is immediately ready for use and has a working time of approximately 1 hour
Pot Life . 6 months, when stored in cool, dry conditions and protected from excessive drafts
Set Time .    24 hours, depending on temperature and substrate
Coverage . 4.5kg per square metre at 3mm bed thickness, 9kg per square metre at 6mm bed thickness
Colours .   White / Grey
Pack Sizes.     20kg bags
Notes    Times quoted are quoted at 20°C and are temperature/humidity dependent
Preparation    The tiling surface should be clean, dry and firm, and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease or any other contaminates. Please ensure that the surface is strong enough to support the weight of the tile and adhesive. To encourage best adhesion, it is advisable when applying adhesive to porous surfaces that the surface is primed. This helps to prevent water penetration and increase bond strength
Application    Apply the adhesive to a thickness of 3-6mm up to 1 square metre at a time. On internal walls, use a notched trowel. On floors and external areas, use the solid bed trowel method. Large, studded tiles should be buttered. Bed the tiles in with a slight twisting action. Leave spaces between tiles for grouting (approximately 1-3mm for walls and 2-20mm for floors). Clean off excess adhesive from the tile face and grout lines with a damp cloth before it sets
Grouting .    After 24 hours, longer may be required for impervious surfaces
Cleaning.     Thoroughly clean in water to remove excess materials
