GIARDINI DI PIETRA was founded in 1998 to cover the needs of the new, emerging Eastern European markets. In 2000, GDP merged together with the Ascot Group and the new trademark DOM Ceramiche to work side by side developing its commercial distribution. In the five years that followed, the group encountered quite a bit of success with good market penetration and a solid image for creative tile manufacturing.
The growth of the two trademarks created the necessity to split the business enterprises.
2005 is the year of change for GDP: new headquarter in Maranello, a new image, new company strategies and, last but not least, the new logo ‘GDP Ceramiche’. The results were immediate - the market welcomed our product, particularly thanks to the new SURFACES Series.
